Akkreditiertes Labor means accredited laboratory, which is a laboratory that a national accreditation body has assessed and confirmed as competent for a named list of tests. In Germany that body is DAkkS, and the standard applied to medical laboratories is ISO 15189.
Accreditation is never a company-wide badge, because it is issued for a defined scope of named measurands at named sites. A supplier can hold accreditation, but the scope may exclude your particular marker, the site that will run it or the method used, which is why the sentence "our laboratories are accredited" is not by itself checkable.
Aniva has analysis performed by an accredited partner laboratory that holds ISO 15189 accreditation and works under RiliBÄK, the German laboratory quality assurance guideline.
- Ask for the accreditation certificate together with the scope annex behind it.
- Ask whether the markers on your own panel are named inside that scope.
- Ask which physical site will run your samples and whether that site is listed.
- Ask when the accreditation was last reassessed and when the certificate expires.
