How can I get this panel?
What does it contain?
Important to know. Genetic testing in Germany is doctor-ordered and includes genetic counselling, as required by the Gendiagnostikgesetz (GenDG). A result shows inherited risk or predisposition, not a diagnosis, and a qualified professional explains what it means for you.
Conditions: Inherited high cholesterol, blood clotting risk (Factor V Leiden), folate metabolism issues (MTHFR), lactose intolerance, Type 2 diabetes risk, Alzheimer's risk, Parkinson's risk.
Symptoms: None specific. Genetic markers reveal hidden risk before symptoms appear.
Who it is for:
- Individuals seeking proactive, preventive health insights based on their DNA.
- People with strong family history of heart disease, diabetes, or neurological conditions.
- Those tailoring nutrition or medication strategies based on their genetics.
Test frequency: Once in a lifetime. Your genes do not change. Results inform all future health decisions.
Reference ranges and methodology align with the following sources.
- ISO 15189:2022 medical laboratories. Our partner lab is accredited to this standard.
- ClinVar. Variant clinical significance.
- PharmGKB. Gene-drug interaction evidence.
- RiliBÄK. The German Medical Association quality standard our partner lab operates under.
How much does it cost?
An add-on to the 199 €/year Aniva membership. German PKV usually reimburses preventive blood work, including add-ons.
Questions about this panel
We have 25+ partner locations across Germany. After signing up, you can choose your preferred location and book an appointment directly through our platform. See all locations at anivahealth.com/locations.
Your samples are processed by our certified medical partner laboratory in Germany, which follows strict quality controls and is regularly audited. All results are medically validated by a medical director and specialist in laboratory medicine to ensure the highest accuracy and reliability. For specific diagnostics like omega fatty acid profiles, samples are sent to specialized partner labs because there are fewer than 5 labs in Germany that test omega fatty acids.
Aniva works with a certified German partner lab that complies with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and is consistently audited. There may be a small natural variance on each marker, which is standard for any laboratory. If a blood marker is significantly off, we retest it or connect you with a doctor. Our comprehensive testing is 7x more extensive than a standard medical checkup, providing a much more complete picture of your health.
Yes. You can download a PDF or share a link directly from the Aniva platform. Your results are formatted to be easily understood by any healthcare provider.
It depends on what you want to test and how often. We'll advise through the action plan what makes sense — for most people that's 1–2 tests per year. Follow-up tests happen at one of our partner practices (venous blood draw), typically the one you visited the first time. Your action plan will recommend which markers to retest based on what's critical to monitor, what changed in your last test, and what needs extra attention.
The action plan and biomarker overview is designed to be understandable without medical training, and every marker comes with a personalized recommendation. We also offer optional consultation calls with a physician as a paid add-on if you want deeper clinical context.
